A plain-language summary of what we collect and how we use it. Questions? Email support@firequill.ai.

Account information (your email and authentication details), the content you create (project bibles, characters, manuscripts), billing details processed by our payment provider, and usage data needed to operate and improve the service (including AI usage and cost accounting, and error diagnostics).
To provide FireQuill: to store your work, to generate and validate prose on your request, to handle billing, and to keep the service secure and reliable. Where the law requires a legal basis (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR), we rely on: performing our contract with you (providing the service and billing), our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure, preventing abuse, and improving it), your consent (optional analytics cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the service — these can’t be turned off without breaking sign-in. If analytics are enabled, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, de-identified usage (which pages are visited, broad device/region data) so we can improve the product. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles, and you can block analytics cookies with your browser or an extension without losing access to the app.
We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run FireQuill: Supabase (database, storage, and authentication), Stripe (payments), OpenRouter, OpenAI, and Anthropic (AI generation and embeddings), Resend (email), Langfuse (AI tracing), Google Analytics (usage analytics), Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection on sign-up/sign-in), Sentry (error monitoring), and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data only as needed to provide its part of the service.
When you ask FireQuill to generate or check your writing, the relevant content is sent to the AI providers above to produce that result. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train public models.
FireQuill and its subprocessors operate primarily on servers in the United States. If you access the service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US and other countries where our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.
We keep your content while your account is active. You can delete projects at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us. Some records (for example, billing and tax records) may be retained for as long as the law requires after account closure.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export (port), or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. EU/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@firequill.ai and we’ll help. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
FireQuill is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, email us and we’ll delete it.
We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we make material changes we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
